His new film, Straight Outta Compton, highlights some of the racism issues his famous rap group N.W.A dealt with during their career.

And American hip hop legend, Ice Cube, has shared words of advice for indigenous Australians.

The rapper/actor stated: ‘Stay motivated, believe in yourself and don’t let the world define who you are. You have got to define who you are yourself’.

The 46-year-old added to the Daily Telegraph: ‘I feel like a nation should never relegate anybody to the bottom and a nation should never stand on top of them and that’s what happening.

‘Keep your head up, do something creative, to me you are never poor when you are doing something creative. That is my thing.’

Attitude: The flick features the historic anti-establishment track, F*** Tha Police, that became an anthem against racism and abouse of power at the time
