Avril Lavigne has given fans an update on her battle with Lyme disease in a new Instagram post.
The singer, 31, revealed to the public in April that she has been battling Lyme disease.
But on Wednesday she shared two very high-spirited Instagram posts with good news from her doctor’s office.

Avril Lavigne has given another positive update as she continues to battle Lyme disease . The singer continues to fight the illness and told fans she is “coming out on the other side”. Avril – who has been open about her struggle with the illness, which she was diagnosed with last year – is undergoing treatment and it appears to be going well. She shared a snap from the doctors as she lay down and was examined, and told fans the medical professional is happy with her “progress”.

The 31-year-old singer posted an update on her battle with Lyme disease on Wednesday, and the prognosis looks good!
“Overcoming Lyme Disease. Feels good to have my Dr. smile and tell me how much progress I am making. I’m coming out on the other side batches,” Lavigne captioned one photo.
“I sat there in my bed and watched [fan videos showing their support for her] and I cried through the whole thing and honestly I felt very loved,” she said. “It sounds silly, but I really did feel my fans through the process.”

Meanwhile, as Lavigne’s health improved, the singer announced her separationfrom husband of two years, Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger, in September.
“It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other.”
